This page explains what information Norwood Studios collects, why we collect it, who else handles it, and how long we keep it. If you have a question, email us at hello@norwoodstudios.co.
When you visit this website
The sample request form sends us what you type. We keep your request in our admin database and receive it by email through an email service. We use it only to make and send your sample and reply to you. We delete your request within 2 years of our last contact. This website has no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies.
Cloudflare runs the site. Like any web host, it processes your IP address to deliver the pages and to protect the site from attacks. It may set a security cookie that is needed for that.
If you email us, we get your email address and whatever you write.
Businesses we contact by email
We find business contact details in public sources, such as maps listings and business websites. These can include the business name, the owner's first name when it's public, the address, phone number, email, website, and listing details such as ratings and reviews. We use them to email businesses about websites.
Every email tells you how to opt out: reply "stop". If you opt out or tell us no, we never contact you again. To make sure of that, we keep only your listing, phone number, email and web address on a do-not-contact list, and we use that list for nothing else.
Otherwise, we delete a business's details within 2 years of our last contact.
If you ask for a free sample home page, we build it from your listing and your website. It sits on a private link and comes down after 30 days.
Clients
When you work with us, we keep your name, business, email, phone number and address, the files you send us (such as your logo, photos and text), and a record of your invoices and payments. We need your address to work out sales tax.
Stripe handles card payments and emails our invoices. We never see your full card number.
If we refer you to a partner, such as a company that offers hosting and monthly support, we share your name, business and contact details with them, and only after you say yes.
Signing your website agreement
When you sign our website agreement online, we record the name you type, the date and time, your IP address and your browser details, together with the exact agreement text. This is our proof of who signed what, and when.
How long we keep it
- Signed agreements, the signing record, invoices and payment records: 7 years after the project ends, for taxes and in case of a dispute.
- Files you send us for your project: deleted within 1 year after we stop working together, or sooner if you ask, unless we must keep them.
- Details of businesses we contacted, and the do-not-contact list: see "Businesses we contact by email" above.
Who else handles it
A few companies help us run Norwood Studios. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.
- Cloudflare: hosts this website and our database, and protects our sign-in pages.
- Stripe: card payments and invoice emails.
- Resend: sends us the requests from our sample form by email.
- Google: our email and file storage (Gmail and Google Drive).
- GitHub: stores our code and some of our work files.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.
Your choices
Email hello@norwoodstudios.co to see the information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop all emails from us. We reply within 30 days.
Records we must keep for taxes stay until their 7 years are up. If you ask us to delete everything, we still keep your entry on the do-not-contact list, so we never email you again.
Children
Our services are for businesses. They aren't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
